Altona in Manitoba, Canada, is home to a giant Vincent van Gogh replica painting, one of only three in the world. The idea for the project, called The Big Easel, came to artist and former teacher Cameron Cross during his 45-minute commute to Altona. He noticed that two utility poles with an X-shaped support between them resembled a giant easel.
