How to play Paint by Letters

Paint by Letters was a typing game and book series found in the Book Room's Library on the Old Client in Club Penguin Online. The game was released on March 10, 2008, and permanently removed from the Book Room on June 14, 2012, due to low play rate.

To play Paint by Letters, go to the Book Room by first going to the Town, then the Coffee Shop, and head over to the stairs. Once in the Book Room, click the book icon in the lower right corner or move to the bookshelf. On the bottom left, there are three books: My Puffle, Burnt Out Bulbs, and Lime Green Dojo Clean. Click on one of the three Paint by Letters books.

In these games, you type the words in the book, and at the end of the game, you will earn coins. There are also hidden coins in each book, which can be found by clicking or dragging different objects in the picture. These hidden coins give you even more coins. The game proceeds by showing grey-colored words on a blank page, one line at a time. The player has to type each letter in sequence, turning each letter black. Once the whole line is completed, the next line appears, and this continues until each page is typed out, and then the whole book is completed.

Some lines give the player a choice between multiple words colored in blue to type, such as "(Dock / Beach / Forest / Cove)", and the player's choice affects the story and illustrations. The player appears as a "character" in each book, with their color reflected in the game. Once a page is complete, some parts of the completed illustration can be interacted with, usually by clicking or dragging with the mouse.

How to find hidden coins in My Puffle

To find hidden coins in 'My Puffle', players can use the Puffle Digging feature, which was introduced in mid-2013. This feature allows puffles to dig up treasure, including bags of coins and, occasionally, buried treasure chests containing clothing or furniture. Players can increase their chances of finding coins by ensuring their puffles are happy and well-cared for, as the happier the puffle, the more coins it will find. Additionally, players can adopt a Gold Puffle, as walking this type of puffle gives players a chance to dig up golden items.

Players can also find hidden coins in 'My Puffle' by interacting with specific objects in the game. For example, clicking and dragging the sky downwards reveals a hidden coin. Similarly, clicking and dragging the sandcastle, lighthouse, and boat upwards causes a coin to bounce up. Players can also click and drag the fireman's hat upwards and then release it, causing a coin to appear. Another method is to click the pump that the black penguin is holding. Additionally, players can click and hold the door handle and move it to the left to discover a hidden coin.

There are also other ways to earn coins in Club Penguin, such as playing the single-player game, Aqua Grabber, found on the Iceberg. In this game, players use the arrow keys to move the Aqua Grabber and the space bar to drop the claw, collecting treasures and hidden coins. Another game that rewards players with coins is Puffle Launch, where players launch their puffles out of a cannon, collecting coins and completing levels to earn rewards.
